H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, witnessed today the signing ceremony of an agreement between Palm Hills Developments and Marriott International. The collaboration aims to develop a luxury hotel under the brand “The Ritz-Carlton, Cairo,Palm Hills” in the West Cairo.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Yasseen Mansour, Chairman and Group Chief Excective Of Palm Hills Development, and Mr. Shady Hassan Vice President and Lodging Development for Europe, Middle East & Africa at Marriott International. The ceremony took place at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital and was attended by Mr. Ahmed Issa, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities.
On the sidelines of the signing, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, stated, “The Egyptian state gives great importance to investing in the tourism sector, especially in the West Cairo region, as it is near the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, which is set to open soon. The area has witnessed unprecedented development, including infrastructure such as roads and the nearby Sphinx International Airport, which has undergone expansion and development.”
“We are pleased to welcome Marriott as a new distinguished partner in the Palm Hills October project, as we always strive to collaborate with global partners. According to the agreement, we will collaborate with the esteemed Marriott International to bring The Ritz-Carlton brand to West Cairo by developing a luxury hotel expected to open in 2027,” said Mr. Yasseen Mansour, Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officier CEO of Palm Hills Developments.
“The hotel will feature 150 rooms and 50 hotel apartments, bringing the legendary Ritz-Carlton service and design to the unique location of Palm Hills October in West Cairo. The project’s investments amount to 4 billion pounds, employing 600 individuals directly after operation and around 45,000 job opportunities during the construction period. The addition of The Ritz-Carlton to our portfolio is a significant achievement that aligns with our strategic vision to encourage the tourism sector and develop real estate offerings in Egypt. This partnership underscores our commitment to achieving higher levels of luxury in Palm Hills’ communities and enhancing its estate value. Through our collaboration with The Ritz-Carlton, we will offer an unparalleled global experience, redefining the concept of luxury and setting new standards for luxury in the Palm Hills October.”
He added, “The hotel will include integrated modern facilities, including 5 restaurants, fitness lounges, swimming pools, and a children’s club, in addition to halls equipped with the latest technologies for hosting various events and activities.”
